I want to go back to Chicago just to eat here again. I suggest you make reservations. Being a man of a certain age when I go out to dine at a place like this i wear a collared shirt, slacks and a sport coat. I admit that this is somewhat anachronistic and gender biased like holding the door open for a lady but it's comfortable for me. The courtyard is beautiful and photos don't do it justice. Service is very friendly and honestly I expected a casual aloofness but was rather pleased. Our server Victoria was delightful. The lobster roll is obligatory and you can't go wrong. Seriously filling in a good way. The fries are beyond delicious. If my last meal on earth included their mushrooms I would be a happy man. Oh, and the Old Fashioned!
This place is beautiful inside. The fountain. The greenery. Our server was great. I saw an image of the burger here and I HAD to have it! It was juicy and oh so flavorful!
My wife and I were visiting Chicago and made reservations to eat here. Our reservation was at 11 and we arrived at 1050. They seated us right away in a space adjacent to the atrium, my wife, disappointed, asked if we could be seated IN the atrium. The hostess, said all the tables were saved for for 11am reservations, as 11am came and went only a few of the tables were filled. We finished our meal and left around 1150 I took some photos of the atrium as we exited, you can count about 8 empty tables. What were they saving them for? I really don't get it. The food was great and the service was also top notch, it was fast and the space beautiful so this place gets 4 stars. If RH reads this, thank your chef and wait staff for the generous rating...... I really try to be empathetic to people working in the restaurant industry as I'm aware its an incredibly demanding and stressful job, but i really felt burned by this experience.
Food was delicious, service was pretty good. Ambiance is classy and romantic. My friends and I got sat at one of the lounges, which was very comfortable seating. The entire place is gorgeous! We ordered some truffle fries and Burrata appetizers to start. For entrees - lobster roll and roasted chicken with some Pinot noir. Fun spot, definitely will be back next time I'm in town.
Love this place! It's pricey but the vibe is everything. I was in town for a conference and decided to explore the area and found them on Yelp. I have seen it in NY but have never been, so I figured it would be a great opportunity to try on my company's dime. I was not disappointed. When I arrived my table was not ready so they recommended. I grab a drink from the bar and check out the facility, specifically the rooftop. So glad I did! There were a few people up there, but it really felt like I was up there alone. I took some pictures and just relax while I drank my non-alcoholic wine. The sun was shining and the view was gorgeous. I sat in the courtyard area right next to the fountain. So beautiful. I had another glass of non alcoholic wine and the lobster roll and truffle fries. Everything was yummy. That meal cost me about $80. Pricey, but the experience was worth it. Great service as well. I returned a few days later with one of my colleagues to look at furniture. We toured the entire facility and it was really nice. I can't wait to try the one in New York, but I will definitely be back to the one in Chicago when I come back .
Just beautiful. I have nothing bad to say about this place. How cool is it to shop for furniture while grabbing lunch, all in a historic building? This location was highly recommended by one of my friends who live in Chicago. It is one of her favorites. I highly recommend grabbing a reservation. They are very popular. For the table, we ordered the Delice de Bourgogne Cheese. It was a fantastic choice. The warm bread and cheese combo was so delish and complemented the preserve. I ordered the Roasted Half Chicken, another great choice. The chicken was so tender, was falling off the bones. It was full of flavor, very garlicky, which I would love. It is a great place to grab lunch with friends. Your friend will be impressed, for sure. I highly recommend this place!
This is my third visit to 3 arts cafe in Chicago. The service and ambiance has consistently been great-- everyone is super friendly and this location is super beautiful and perfect for a girls night out or for a nice date! The food this time round, however, was mediocre. Truffle fries were amazing, lobster roll was ok, burger was not the best, and the Burrata was not too great either. I'll be back for the great ambiance, but not too sure if I'd come back for the food itself.
Why am I giving this beautiful place a four instead of a five? Honestly I'm not sure... but it's just missing something. Atmosphere- obviously this space was beautifully restored and feels like you are in a dream. The designer wanted you to feel like you are eating at home with the couches and more casual setting. Maybe that's the miss for me. The huge tables and awkward couch seating is like no home I have been in.... It's missing a little soul. No doubt this is an IG dream though. Service- top notch service. Very 5 star Food- the food was beautiful and delicious... I would consider this a fancy brunch spot.
